Coming Soon: Epic Hyperdrive
HMB and HMCL Launch March 10, Other Areas Launch April 21
On Sunday, March 10, HMB and HMCL will launch Epic Hyperdrive — a special internet browser like Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge — but used to access a web-based version of Epic. All other areas will launch Sunday, April 21.
Early Hyperdrive adopters have reported improved system performance and a more modern look and feel to some activities. How you access Epic won’t change, and some of the top Hyperdrive features include:
-
Clean Up the Problem List: Merge problems to keep the relevant information from each, while avoiding the clutter of duplicates.
-
Add Default Diagnoses to Orders: To save time during ordering, you can add default diagnoses to orders in user preference lists. When you place an order that has a default diagnosis specified, the diagnosis is automatically associated with the order.
-
Create Speed Buttons for E/M Codes: Add and customize E/M code speed buttons in the visit taskbar.
-
Order Labs from the Lab Spotlight Card: Easily place a new order for a lab you’re reviewing in a Chart Search Lab Spotlight Card. The Order Again menu appears when the lab in the Spotlight Card can be reordered or has at least one preference list, facility list or database option.
