To ensure HM has the best equipment to deliver high-quality patient care, a telemetry system replacement project is underway systemwide, starting at HMCL. The effort not only brings in new equipment, but it’s also enabling patient data integration with Sickbay, improving monitoring capacity and virtual operations in the future.
HMCL recently installed new Nihon Kohden monitors in the new six-bed high acuity unit. This week, the entire Philips telemetry system will be replaced. This installation will increase their telemetry patient monitoring capacity from 64 to 96.
Once the HMCL installation project is complete, a systemwide project will take place to transition GE physiological monitoring to Nihon Kohden systems at all HM health care facilities.
