Starting Sunday, Aug. 14, to align with 21st Century Cures Act requirements, HM will auto-release psychiatric providers’ USCDI V1 Clinical Note types to patients’ MyChart accounts, unless the provider deems auto-releasing may cause patient harm or the patient requests.
The sensitive note option will be removed, and the Share with Patient button will be automatically selected. If you don’t want the note automatically shared to your patient’s MyChart account, you must deselect the Share with Patient Button and note the reason (Patient Harm or Patient Request). If neither reason applies, the note should be shared with the patient.
